Introduction

We welcome you to Ringsfield Church of England VC Primary School. Ours is a small, happy, Primary School in the heart of the Suffolk countryside. We have excellent and dedicated staff that are committed to providing quality teaching and learning experiences for all. Being small brings advantages: Our teaching team works hard to develop a deep understanding of your child's individual learning needs and we strive to meet these. Our ethos is one of a caring, learning-centred school working in close partnership with parents. In our school it can truly be said that every child matters.
We are a welcoming school and we hope you gain a sense of this warmth as you walk along the corridor and into the classes. We aim to support your child's progress and to listen to you as partners in your child's development. There will be many opportunities throughout the school year to join with us and share in your child's learning and we look forward to seeing you. Through our positive, supportive atmosphere and the celebration of individual achievements we build self-esteem and develop each child's confidence to be creative and take risks with their learning; this was recognized in our recent Ofsted report.

We are in the fortunate position of being able to offer a state-funded Nursery. Through play in a bright and cheerful environment, children from the Nursery are gradually integrated into whole-school activities throughout the year.

Nursery Admissions
We are able to offer local children places in our morning Nursery. Entry is dependent on the places available and each term a Nursery Panel meets to decide on place allocation. The Nursery is an intrinsic part of the main school, with the children involved in assemblies and joining the main body of the school for outings and lunches. This all makes for smooth transfer to full time education. Children begin full time schooling when they move into Reception at the age of 4. In the summer before they start, the children are welcomed into the school to spend time getting to know the teacher and the school environment.

Healthy School Accreditation

We have gained national recognition as a 'Healthy School' which means we are taking steps to ensure the health and well-being of all the children at Ringsfield School.  This doesn't just mean healthy eating and exercise but mental and emotional health as well.
