Outdoor maths lesson

Learning to make and interpret graphs
To start our topic on data handling and graphs we went outside and made some graphs on the playground. We used skipping ropes for axis and labelled them with mini whiteboards.
After that we arrranged our real data onto the graph.
After we had made our graphs we were able to use them to find out information. We looked at the different materials our water bottles were made out of and also the different colours and decorations on our pencil cases.
It was great fun and helped us to interpret graphs back in the classroom.
